Dental Crowns, Bridges, Onlays, & Inlays
Dental crowns are usually visually undetectable replacements of the tooth enamel that help to support broken or fractured teeth. Bridges are recommended to replace missing teeth. Onlays and Inlays are needed for substitution of the lost or broken tooth structure. It can be a “high end” filling, where the tooth structure is replaced with a strong porcelain instead of resin materials, or a large portion of the tooth replaced with a ceramic material to provide for the necessary chewing strength.
In our Central Park South office, most of the “indirect” (made outside of your mouth and bonded on your teeth after) restorations are CEREC fabricated. It means all crowns, inlays, and onlays, and most of the bridges will be completed in one visit.
We will choose an appropriate material and will make sure the fit and comfort of your restoration are excellent.
